Wellbeing In Schools
Wellbeing for children in school is crucial as it significantly impacts their overall development and academic success. A positive state of mental and emotional health enables children to manage stress, build resilience, and develop healthy relationships. When schools prioritise wellbeing, they create a supportive environment where students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. This holistic approach not only enhances academic performance but also fosters lifelong skills for coping with challenges, promoting a healthier and more balanced future for young individuals.
In 2025, I worked alongside three junior schools to develop and deliver a pilot Wellbeing Ambassador Programme, designed in collaboration with each school to meet the best interests of their pupils.
Across the three schools, selected groups of children identified by the school as most in need took part in a carefully structured 7-week programme. This included tailored weekly group sessions focused on building confidence, emotional resilience and positive wellbeing.
I am currently developing a full impact report to showcase outcomes and feedback. In the meantime, you can view some highlights here.
